Position Overview: As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality and evidence-based occupational therapy services to individuals with mental health conditions. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing their functional abilities, promoting independence, and fostering a sense of empowerment and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of clients' occupational performance and mental health needs.
- Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, focusing on therapeutic activities and interventions.
- Providing individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health challenges and enhance coping skills.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and healthcare professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Offering education and support to clients, families, and caregivers to enhance understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Proven experience as an Occupational Therapist, ideally in mental health settings, at Band 6 level.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Passion for promoting mental health and well-being through client-centered and innovative occupational therapy practices.
