Position Overview: As a Band 6 Community Occupational Therapist, you will be a vital member of our team, providing specialized occupational therapy services to individuals in community settings. Your role will involve collaborating with clients, their families, and community resources to facilitate optimal independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' occupational performance in community settings.
  2. Developing and implementing person-centered treatment plans to address mental health challenges and promote community integration.
  3. Providing therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies to enhance clients' independence in daily activities.
  4. Collaborating with community partners, healthcare professionals, and social services to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  5. Offering education and support to clients and their families to enhance understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
  6. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  2. Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  3. Proven experience as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in community settings.
  4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Passion for promoting mental health and well-being through client-centered and community-focused occupational therapy practices.
