Position Overview: As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve assessment, treatment planning, and intervention to enhance the daily functioning and well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' functional abilities, identifying areas for intervention.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based occupational therapy techniques.
- Providing therapeutic interventions to address clients' mental health needs, focusing on activities of daily living, coping skills, and community integration.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
- Monitoring and evaluating clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Providing education and support to clients, families, and caregivers to enhance understanding and participation in the therapeutic process.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Previous experience working in mental health settings is desirable but not mandatory for Band 5 level applicants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Passion for promoting mental health and well-being through innovative and client-centered occupational therapy practices.
