Currently, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in Parkinson's Disease to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview: As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist with expertise in Parkinson's Disease, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and client-centered occupational therapy services. You will work with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease to enhance their daily functioning, independence, and overall quality of life. A valid driving license and access to a car are essential for this role, as home visits may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments to identify the specific needs and challenges faced by individuals with Parkinson's Disease.
- Developing and implementing personalized occupational therapy interventions to address motor, cognitive, and psychosocial difficulties.
- Providing support and education to clients and their families to enhance self-management and coping strategies.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community services to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Conducting home visits and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
- Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist, with a focus on Parkinson's Disease.
- Previous experience at a Band 7 level or equivalent.
- Valid driving license and access to a car for home visits.
