We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Adult Mental Health to join a dynamic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Cornwall.
Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments of adult patients within the CMHT.
- Provide accurate and timely diagnoses based on clinical observations and assessments.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support patients in their recovery journey.

Medication Management:
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and guidelines related to medication management.

Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the CMHT.
- Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews.

Risk Assessment and Management:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for patients with complex mental health needs.
- Develop and implement risk management plans to ensure patient safety.

Clinical Leadership:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to junior medical staff and the wider team.
- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Qualifications
- Qualified Psychiatrist with full GMC registration.

- Substantial experience in Adult Psychiatry with a focus on Community Mental Health.
