Job Description:
Pulse Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for a fantastic opportunity in Essex. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be an integral part of the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) focused on CAMHS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Expertise: Provide high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents within the CAMHS framework.
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Consultation: Provide expert psychiatric consultation to colleagues, referring agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Treatment Planning: Formulate and implement comprehensive care plans, ensuring the delivery of evidence-based interventions.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans in collaboration with the team.
- Supervision: Provide supervision and support to junior medical staff and contribute to the continuous professional development of the team.
Requirements:
- Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent, with full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Psychiatric Qualification: CCT or equivalent in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Registration: Full and unrestricted registration with the GMC and inclusion on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Experience: Significant post-registration experience in CAMHS and CMHT settings.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
