Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to join a dynamic Community Mental Health Team in Thurrock, Essex. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients within the community.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  3. Offer leadership and support to junior medical staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  4. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews to enhance patient care.
  5. Contribute to service improvement initiatives, working towards delivering high-quality mental health services.

Requirements:

  1. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
  2. AC/S12 essential
  3. CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.
  4. Substantial experience in General Adult Psychiatry within a community setting.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
