Job Overview:

Pulse is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with expertise in paediatric care for a temporary/contract position in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to paediatric patients, helping them achieve their developmental milestones and improve their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assess and evaluate paediatric patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address developmental challenges and improve functional abilities.
  3. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  4. Provide education and support to parents/caregivers on therapeutic interventions and home exercises.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifications to treatment plans.
  6. Stay informed about current best practices, research, and advancements in paediatric occupational therapy.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  2. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  3. Proven experience working as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, with a focus on paediatric care.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  6. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in paediatric occupational therapy.
