Pulse Mental Health, a leading recruitment agency, is actively seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (Band 7) with significant experience in working with Children and Young People (CYP) with moderate to complex additional needs. This exciting opportunity is based in Glamorgan and requires an individual who can efficiently manage interventions, contribute to service development, and navigate community sites, including schools and homes.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Band 7 Occupational Therapist specializing in Children and Young People, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care and support. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments and develop intervention plans for children and young people with moderate to complex additional needs.

  2. Training/Upskilling: Provide training and upskilling sessions for caregivers and other professionals involved in the care of CYP, ensuring a collaborative and informed support network.

  3. Efficient Episode Closure: Effectively complete and close episodes of care, demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  4. Community Visits: As a car driver, visit community sites, including schools and homes, to provide on-site assessments and interventions.

  5. Service Development: Contribute actively to service development initiatives, sharing insights and recommendations to enhance the quality of care provided.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Significant experience at a Band 7 level working with Children and Young People with moderate to complex additional needs.
  • Proven ability to efficiently complete and close episodes of care.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Car driver with the ability to travel to community sites.
