Are you a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with Acute Medical experience?

Our client has an exciting new role available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within a well-established NHS trust in London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering preferred full-time and part-time hours per week for an ongoing period.

As a Band 6 Acute Medicine Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for patients admitted to acute medical units. Your work will help patients regain their independence and mobility while addressing the unique challenges associated with their acute medical conditions. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational looking to advance their career in the field of acute medicine. Applying therapists must have experience of NHS and ward work in hospital as week as experience of varying acute medical conditions, chest infection, frailty, AKI, falls etc. The postholder should have knowledge of discharge pathways/discharge to assess model would be of benefit.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Managing own caseload
  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Monitoring patient progress
  • Complex discharge planning
  • Being legally and professional responsible for own work

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be HCPC registered
  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications
  • Have previous experience in a similar role
  • Able to work well within a multidisciplinary team
