Pulse is now seeking to recruit a band 6 Hand Occupational therapist in Chelmsford Essex for one of our key clients in the private sector.  This position offers full-time or part-time hours for an ongoing period.  

To provide specialised assessment and treatment for hand therapy patients with complex needs and expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, relatives, and other non-professionals. The post holder will be responsible for own caseload and a defined service area, working without direct supervision. Supervision occurs at regular one to one sessions with the line manager, formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences and reflective practise. 

You must have excellent experience in post op hand therapy and splint making Our case load includes: fasciectomy’s, Dermofasciectomy’s, trapeziectomies, Joint replacements skin grafts and sterile techniques for hand care, splinting, exercise rehabilitation, scar, oedema management and taping. 

Working pattern: One day per week (7.5hrs), can be short shifts over two days (Tuesdays/Wednesdays or Fridays). Would need to be available on a Thursday for induction with lead hand therapist.
