Our NHS client is currently seeking a motivational Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their fantastic Burns, Plastics and Head & Neck Unit Team based within East Grinstead, Sussex. The post is available to start ASAP, offering full-time hours per week for a period of 6 months.

The postholder will provide a high standard OT/PT hand service to a specialist caseload of complex hand and plastics patients. This may include conservatively and surgically treated paediatric/adult patients with traumatic and elective hand and upper limb injuries. Interventions may occur in the Therapy Department, wards, theatres, OPD and spoke clinics. The appointed candidate will provide advanced therapeutic assessment and diagnosis of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions and to gain consent to develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
  • Completed the relevant degree/qualification in physiotherapy
  • Previous NHS experience in a similar rehabilitation setting
  • Strong interpersonal skills – able to establish a rapport with patients
  • Good time management
  • Interest in anatomy and physiology
  • Genuine concern for the health and wellbeing of service users
