Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in acute care?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic NHS client’s acute team based in Slough, Buckinghamshire. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start as soon as possible, offering full time hours per week with the placement due to end on 01.02.24.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized occupational therapy services to patients in the acute department. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life during their hospital stay assessing and treating patients on the ward. Applying therapists should have previous experience in a similar setting for this role.  

Skills and experience needed:

  • Previous experience within acute settings
  • Previous discharge planning and Oncology experience
  • Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration

Duties will include:

  • Care-coordinating
  • Attending MDT meetings
  • Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs.
  • Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress.
  • Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
  • Working with other healthcare professionals
