Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist who specialises in ASD?
Our client is currently seeking a band 5 Occupational Therapist to join their fantastic learning disabilities team, which is an NHS trust based in London. This position will be available for the successful therapist to start immediately, working 22.5 hours each week for an ongoing period.
To be considered for this role, occupational therapists must have experience working with adult learning disabilities and mental health; the successful candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing occupational therapy interventions for individuals with learning disabilities. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance our client's overall quality of life.
Applying OTs must have the following:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Extensive experience within a similar NHS setting
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to build good relationships with patients
Duties within this role will include:
- ASD assessment
- Carrying out functional assessments
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Treating clients with Autism/ADHD
- Managing own caseload
- Being legally and professionally accountable for own work
