Are you an Occupational Therapist who specialises in Oncology?

Our client is now recruiting for a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to join their well-established NHS trust based in Stafford, Staffordshire. The post is available to start from 01.12.23, offering 35 hours per week for a 3-month period.

The successful Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive assessments of oncology patients to determine their physical, emotional, and functional needs as well as develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address these needs and enhance overall well-being. Applying therapists should have experience in acute care, discharge planning and oncology if possible.

The candidate’s duties will include:

  • Relaxation techniques with patients
  • Working with a client to help them achieve a fulfilled and satisfied state in life
  • Supporting carers and families
  • Discharge planning
  • Being professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of own work, including management of patients and other professional activities
  • Undertake therapy assessments and continually develop a high service for patients
  • Assess and take in to account deterioration
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team
