Pulse is currently seeking an empathetic HCPC registered Band 7 Occupational Therapist to join a well-established NHS trust based in Prescot, Lancashire. This position is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours per week for an initial 4-week period with a view to extend.

The postholder will assess and diagnose musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments in patients within the A&E department and Frailty service, the successful candidate will develop and implement tailored treatment plans to address acute injuries and provide rehabilitative care for frail patients. Applying therapists should have previous experience in a similar setting.

Duties within this role will include:

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Work to prevent unplanned admissions
  • Discharge planning and treatment plans
  • Providing effective intervention
  • Physical rehabilitation
  • Work well within a face paced environment

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Be HCPC registered
  • Hold the relevant degree/qualifications
  • Have previous experience within A&E and working in an acute setting
