Pulse is currently seeking a determined Band 8a Clinical/counselling Psychologist to be welcomed into our client’s Adult Community Mental Health team, within a fantastic NHS trust based in Bedford, Bedfordshire. This position will be available for the assigned Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working part-time or full-time hours per week for an ongoing period.  

The post-holder will provide specialist evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention for people with a range of complex mental health needs, including individual, couple/family and group interventions. The post is mainly face to face and the service will not consider fully remote, service users seen by the post holder will include people who have experienced high levels of distress and complex mental health difficulties. The appointed psychologist will possess an enthusiasm for multidisciplinary team working and the skills to help steer the team to psychological understanding of their clients and the development of psychologically informed services.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • Be HCPC registered
  • Have a proven track record in adult mental health
  • Be analytical and show good attention to detail
