Pulse seeks a determined and experienced Band 8a/8b Clinical psychologist to join our client's Learning Disabilities team within a private service based in Aberystwyth, Cardiganshire. This position will be available for the appointed Practitioner to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate must provide specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the locality team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex psychological data from a variety of sources, including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care. The post holder will exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients whose problems are managed by psychologically based care plans and monitor progress during the course of both uni and multi-disciplinary care.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be HCPC registered
- Have a proven track record in working with mild to complex learning disabilities
- Be analytical and show good attention to detail
