Are you a compassionate Occupational Therapist who specialises in Learning Disabilities?

Our client is currently seeking a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist to join their fantastic young adults service, which is a private service based in Sutton, Surrey. This position will be available for the successful therapist to start immediately, working full-time or part-time hours each week for an on-going period.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to help clients regain independence and enhance their quality of life. As an Occupational Therapist at you will play a vital role in helping individuals with physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges achieve their maximum potential. Applying therapists must have experience working in Paediatrics, learning disabilities and community team as well as previous experience with manual handling and postural management included prescribing special seating and knowledge of specialist equipment.

Applying OT’s must have:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
  • Degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Extensive experience within a similar NHS setting
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Ability to build good relationships with patients

Duties within this role will include:

  • ASD assessment
  • Carrying out functional assessments
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Treating clients with Autism/ADHD
  • Managing own caseload
  • Being legally and professionally accountable for own work
