Role:

  • Assess patients' health status before, during, and after dialysis sessions. They monitor vital signs, evaluate fluid balance, and assess for any signs of complications.
  • Administering dialysis treatment
  • Dialysis nurses educate patients and their families about kidney disease, the dialysis process, and the importance of adhering to dietary and fluid restrictions. They also provide guidance on managing symptoms and potential complications.
  • Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by the nephrologist is a common task.
  • Dialysis nurses adhere to strict infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infections in the dialysis unit.
  • Dialysis nurses continuously monitor patients during treatment, assessing for any adverse reactions or complications.

Requirements:

  • NMC pin with a minimum of 6months recent experience
  • Right to work in the UK – Proof required
  • To meet framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational health
  • Clinical References and an Update CV with 10 year experience including education and gaps.
