Pulse is recruiting a patient and independent Clinical Psychologist to be welcomed into our clients Looked After Children team within an NHS trust in Nottingham. The appointed psychologist will be available to start as soon as possible, covering part time-hours per week for an initial 3-6 months.

The post holder will be a member of a Specialist CAMHs CLA multi-disciplinary service, which serves the Nottingham City area. Liaison with various other disciplines and agencies, including health, education, social services, voluntary agencies, and care systems, will be vital to this post. The post holder will also provide support through supervision and consultation to staff within the team and across CLA provision. The post holder works autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.

To apply for this post, Psychologists must have the following:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working with children and young people (experience working with looked after children would be ideal but not essential)

  • Telephone consultations and face-to-face work
  • Managing own caseload

  • Safeguarding
