Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist with a keen interest in acute care?
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to work on our fantastic NHS client’s acute in-patient wards based in Stockport, Cheshire. This vacancy is available for the successful therapist to start on 24.07.23 with the placement due to end on 15.10.23.
The appointed Occupational Therapist will be responsible for carrying a clinical caseload and will need to be an excellent communicator in order to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team. The postholder will also carry out individual and group interventions on the adult acute in-patient wards.
Skills and experience needed:
- Previous experience within acute settings
- Previous discharge planning and Oncology experience
- Relevant degree/qualification in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
Duties will include:
- Care-coordinating
- Attending MDT meetings
- Contribute to the holistic assessment of physical and mental wellbeing needs.
- Assessment and intervention of individual patients needs and progress.
- Treating patients for a range of moderate to complex mental health conditions
- Working with other healthcare professionals
