Are you an empathetic Occupational Therapist who has experience in Paediatrics?
Pulse is now seeking a band 6 Occupational Therapist to work within an ASD service at an innovative private trust in Essex.
They are based within a mental health school. The children have ASD, ADHD and a range of learning disabilities. The job is part-time, two days per week. Working hours are 8:15-4:15 term time only. Start in the new year. Children are 8-18 years old. Essential to have previous experience.
Some duties within this post will include:
- Ensuring that young people are prepared for the transition to adult life
- Fine motor assessments
- Managing own caseload efficiently
- Treating patients with complex needs, learning difficulties or biomechanical problems
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals
Skills and experience needed:
- Relevant degree/qualifications in occupational therapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Previous experience working within a Paediatric service - Ideally NHS
- Encouraging attitude
- Ability to think outside the box
- Be compassionate and empathetic
- Good teamwork skills
