Salary: £35000 depending on experience Part time or full time

Pulse is now recruiting an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join a warm and friendly team member for a private hospital within Cheshire.

Please see below details of what the role will enquire:

Working as part of this friendly and supportive team you can expect to assist patients undergoing a variety of elective procedures including ENT, neurological, orthopaedic, laparoscopic, ophthalmic, gynaecology and urology.

  • Prepare the operating theatre/anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to instrumentation, equipment and supplies required for specific operative procedures, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum
  • Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way
  • Run a theatre list without supervision
  • Perform anaesthetic duties

The hospital has two operating theatres that operate three theatre sessions per theatre, six days per week. One of the inpatient wards has capacity to accommodate 18 patients in ensuite single rooms and is open 24 hours per day, seven days week. The other ward has capacity to accommodate six patients in individual rooms and is mainly used for day case patients

What requirements are needed to be successful in the job role?

  • You will be a HCPC registered ODP or an NMC registered Nurse with an Anaesthetic module.
  • Ideally, you will have ALS or ILS however training & courses can be offered.
  • Excellent communication and organisation is key to continue our high standards of patient care.
