 Who Are You:

You have worked in a creative agency as a thinker and maker. You have experience in leading a creative team and are comfortable with the challenges management brings.

Developing smart, relevant, and well-polished social videos at a high level is a weekly task you’re comfortable with. You have serious concept, script and storyboard writing, and film & production knowledge to leverage.

You are a fast learner, who can identify areas of importance to your peers and the community we serve to quickly dial into impactful areas at the jump. You can also balance the needs of the business and take interest in trends / data to help make your work as impactful as possible. You are a driven self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

 

What is this role about:  

We are looking for an experienced Producer with strong shooting/editing skills to join the team responsible for generating unique content for JollyRogerHQ’s youtube channel. This role has the opportunity to help Puffco reach new highs! 

This role will be responsible both for content creation and for helping us keep on track with content development and production schedules. This Producer role will include shooting and editing so technical skills are important! We’re looking for people who live and breathe YouTube and have an astute understanding and experience with the creator economy and an added interest in cannabis. This is a hybrid role that requires 2-3 days in our headquarters located in DTLA and occasional field production.  

 

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative storylines, treatments, rundowns, scripts, and visual images 

Conceptualize new projects and formats or help refine existing formats 

Help maintain schedule of productions and releases 

Schedule and plan video shoots 

Ensure budgets assigned to projects are adhered to 

Direct talent and cameras 

Work closely with the editors to ensure deliverables and standards are met 

Manage multiple projects and deadlines that vary in size, type, complexity 

Promote a positive, collaborative, stimulating, learning environment amongst the creative teams 

Camera operation and editing  

 

Qualifications:

4+ years producing experience 

Available to work in our office located in downtown Los Angeles, on a set, or offsite 

Experience working with YouTube and major social media platforms 

Experience managing and directing talent 

Experience sourcing and managing a team of production professionals 

Extensive knowledge of the overall production process, from an outline to filming, editing, and delivery 

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a positive manner with talent and team. 

Well-versed in workflow and communication applications such as Slack, Asana, Frame.iO, etc 

 

Compensation:

The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA. Individual compensation is determined based on experience and skillset.
