The person we’re looking for:
The Senior IT Administrator will play a crucial role in shaping the IT strategy, managing key infrastructure projects, and ensuring the stability and security of our systems. This position involves analyzing departmental needs, providing high-level end-user support, coordinating with vendors, managing IT assets, overseeing virtualization efforts, and maintaining robust backup systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a strategic mindset, and a dedication to maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment. Additionally, they will have expertise in supporting remote users and managing multi-site VPN connectivity to ensure seamless access across locations.
This is an in-office position in Bellevue WA and reports to the IT Team Lead.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, plan, and oversee the IT department's policies and goals to align with company objectives.
- Analyze departmental needs and implement solutions by modifying existing systems or developing new ones.
- Provide high-level technical support to users, including remote and VPN users, ensuring quick issue resolution and helping employees understand and fully utilize available technology.
- Manage VPN access, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure secure remote connections to support remote users.
- Oversee virtualized environments' deployment, maintenance, and optimization to improve server performance and resource allocation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor backup strategies to ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities. Coordinate regular backups and conduct periodic testing to verify data restore processes.
- Manage the research, selection, and procurement of IT equipment, software, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Schedule and manage third-party vendors, maintenance technicians, and other external activities, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely service delivery.
- Develop functional strategies, objectives, budgets, and procedures to support the company's IT infrastructure.
- Design, manage, and troubleshoot multi-site VPN setups to ensure secure and reliable communication between various office locations and remote users.
- Plan, schedule, and execute projects to maintain and improve communications networks and infrastructure.
- Implement security measures, ensure secure network operations, and coordinate data backup plans.
- Regularly audit IT systems to ensure optimal performance, compliance, and security.
- Enhance the onboarding process to ensure new employees have the right tools and access for a smooth start.
A Typical Day May Include:
- Ensure Network Stability: Conduct system health reviews, troubleshoot connectivity issues, manage backups, implement security measures, and optimize virtualized environments to ensure seamless and secure operations.
- End-User Support: Assist employees with technical issues, including software troubleshooting and hardware setup, both in-office and remotely. Provide training or walkthroughs to help employees effectively utilize tools and systems.
- Project Management and Planning: Collaborate with teams to plan and execute IT-related projects, such as hardware upgrades, virtualization optimizations, or office connectivity enhancements.
- Vendor Coordination: Meet with external vendors to oversee equipment procurement, maintenance schedules, and service delivery.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Senior IT Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware/software systems, network administration, and data center management.
- Capable of managing computer networks, performing installations, and configuring new equipment.
- Adept at troubleshooting and supporting users at various technical skill levels, including remote users.
- Experience supporting VPN users and maintaining multi-site VPN connectivity to ensure secure and consistent access across locations.
- Strong experience deploying and managing virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) to optimize server performance and resource use.
- Proficiency in backup planning, monitoring, and restoration processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitoring project timelines and deliverables and communicating deadlines effectively.
- Experience working with external vendors to ensure effective service delivery and contract compliance.
- Skilled at developing creative solutions and adapting quickly to changing requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project management or customer success roles.
- A passion for gaming, IT security, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software such as Adobe, Perforce, RLM floating licensing, and GitLab is a plus.
- Strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Experience with hardware from Nvidia, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Pure Storage is a strong advantage.

In Washington, the expected salary range for this position is $130,000-$180,000. The listed expected salary range represents a good faith estimate and the actual pay may depend on a variety of job-related factors that can include experience, education, skills, and location.
