We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, with regional KRAFTON offices located across the globe.
From our Amsterdam office, KRAFTON covers Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS region, with teams dedicated to Publishing, Esports, Content, Merchandise and Licensing, and more. We are also now working on a brand-new IP as the lead development studio. We’re incredibly excited about the project and can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.
Basic roles and responsibilities:
- Work closely with other Leads, Directors, and cross-functional teams to advance project quality.
- Plan, assign and supervise the work of the animators.
- Create benchmark quality animations for reference.
- Create great (previz) animation for the game.
- Prototype animation systems
- Provide creative and technical feedback to the animation team.
- Leads and manages animation asset delivery pipelines while working closely with the rigging, production, and tools departments, to provide suggestions and feedback to improve character setup, visual quality, rigs and overall tool functionality.
- Mentor junior/intermediate animators
What we are ideally looking for:
- Team Leader who can bring people and disciplines together to create the best experience for our players.
- An experienced industry professional with experience in similar role
- highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and can work independently and under direction as and when required.
- Passion for video games with knowledge on different game genres across all platforms
- Multiple shipped titles
Further desired traits:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior animation skills, understanding of principles of weight and movement.
- Advanced knowledge of Maya, MotionBuilder and Unreal Engine
- Working knowledge on motion capture, rigging and rigging set-ups.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Would also be a plus but not essential:
- Working knowledge on scripting for animators (Mel/Python for Maya/MotionBuilder, Blueprint/python/C++ for Unreal Engine)
