About the role
This an exciting opportunity to join a team at the forefront of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
You will be working in highly collaborative, interdisciplinary teams delivering customer value through the development and refinement of cutting edge ML tools, and the application of these tools to customer problems.
You will be developing software for our AI platform and agents to deliver completely new solutions to simulation, finance, logistics and beyond. This means that the work will be varied as you rotate between client projects and internal product development. Your work will be directly used and built upon in our products.
What will you be responsible for?
- Designing and implementing state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to solve a variety of different problems arising in our customer pilots or products
- Formulating and running experiments, and improving algorithms based on results
- Designing and developing high quality software alongside with our research, data science and product teams working in an Agile team
- Reviewing documents, designs, and code done by others and provide constructive feedback
- Working with researchers and platform engineers to migrate research prototypes to production
- Continuously developing your own machine learning and engineering skills and helping others to improve theirs
- Contributing to the company's culture through code reviews, mentoring, research and design discussions
In your role as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, the ultimate measure of your success is adoption of the tools and methods you develop within the company.

What skills, experience, and qualifications do you need to succeed in this role?
As a strong and analytical software expert in building complex systems, you will be responsible for finding solutions as to how we can use technology, ML, and data to enable the efficiency of our clients. You will help design, develop and deploy our next generation of AI platform and tools which will enable our clients to transform their business. You will be proactive in your approach and be motivated by solving complex technical problems.
You will be someone who has industry experience working in software engineering, data science or machine learning and will have a strong grasp of machine learning and software engineering fundamentals and will be bridging the gap between research and engineering, and functioning with deep expertise in both worlds. You will have previously worked on customer projects and have consulted with project stakeholders to solve a customer problem.
You will have the trust and autonomy to plan your work independently taking into account dependencies between units of work and the requirements of your team and where you see improvements we’ll encourage you to highlight these and make them happen.
Deep knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C++, Java or C#); working knowledge of multiple languages will be essential in this role.
You will Ideally hold both a Bachelors (BS) or Masters (MS) in Computer science, statistics, machine learning or other numerate fields - although other degrees will be considered with relevant work experience.
