The Director of Ad Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our advertising operations to maximize revenue and efficiency. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of digital advertising platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize ad operations processes and workflows, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of advertising campaigns.
Manage a team of ad operations professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support to drive performance and productivity.
Collaborate with media planners and SMEs to align ad operations strategies with the goals and objectives of our campaigns.
Monitor and analyze key performance metrics and industry trends to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Implement best practices and standards for ad trafficking, campaign management, ad quality assurance, and full funnel optimization.
Oversee the implementation and integration of ad technologies and platforms, such as ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs, to streamline operations and enhance performance.
Develop and maintain relationships with advertising partners, vendors, and technology providers to stay informed about industry developments and opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, including GDPR, CCPA, and IAB guidelines.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to communicate performance, trends, and insights.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of experience in digital advertising operations, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
Deep understanding of digital advertising ecosystem, including ad serving technologies, programmatic advertising, ad exchanges, and data management platforms. Specifically, DCM, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, DV360.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement.
Location: Austin (3 days/week in office)
