Property Finder is the leading digital real estate platform in the Middle East and North Africa region. A UAE-born startup, Property Finder expanded its operations to Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt over the years. Recently, it acquired a significant stake in Zingat in Turkey. The company is one of the largest technology start-ups in the region and on a journey to becoming a Unicorn. We are aspiring to create a lighthouse technology company which will have a lasting impact in the entire tech ecosystem in our geography.
As the Head of Monetization Products for Property Finder, your role is to participate in business development and execute these plans to maximise revenue generation and drive profitability for the platform. You will be responsible for analysing market trends and implementing innovative approaches to optimise the platform's revenue streams. Your expertise in monetization strategies, business development, and data analysis will be crucial in achieving financial goals and ensuring long-term sustainability for Property Finder.
1. Assist in development of Monetization business plans:
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify monetization opportunities and industry trends.
- Design and implement effective strategies and business development to maximise revenue generation from the Property Finder's various offerings, such as subscriptions, listings, advertisement, sponsored content, transaction fees, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, pricing department, business analytics (BA), sales, marketing, and finance, to align monetization strategies with overall business objectives.
2. Pricing and Packaging:
- Assist in the definition of pricing models and packages for the marketplace's products and services. Cooperate with Pricing Department to set actual prices.
- Based on data from BA, conduct competitive analysis and market research to ensure strategies are competitive and aligned with customer expectations.
- In cooperation with the Pricing Department, regularly evaluate and adjust pricing structures to maintain profitability and maximise customer acquisition and retention.
3. Business Development:
- Identify partnership opportunities to enhance monetization potential, such as collaborations with customers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Understand the end consumer needs and balance this against paid products.
- Continuously explore new revenue streams and expansion opportunities for the online marketplace.
4. Data Analysis and Performance Tracking:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop tracking mechanisms to monitor and measure the effectiveness of monetization strategies.
- Work with BA to utilise data analytics tools and techniques to analyse user behaviour, revenue metrics, and market trends, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
- Work with BA to generate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance results, trends, and recommendations to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with product managers to align monetization strategies with product development initiatives.
- Work with the marketing team to develop campaigns and promotional activities that drive revenue growth.
- Partner with the finance team to ensure accurate revenue forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience in monetization strategy development and execution or relevant consulting experience.
- Proven results on execution according to plans and get things done in a matrix organisation
- Understanding of digital marketplace dynamics, advertising, and revenue models.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to understand customer business models and needs.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
