Bilingual Product Strategist/Researcher

Property Finder is looking for a bilingual Product Strategist to join our team in Egypt. 

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for proactively driving and implementing a research strategy for Property Finder’s product in Egypt.  We are looking for someone who will not only find problems and deliver insights, but will also drive meaningful solutions to suggest the right product market fit for Egypt.  You will be comfortable performing research, familiar with a range of qualitative and quantitative methods.  You will be leading on all research across both our B2B and B2C verticals in Egypt to help us grow across the country.  You will be working closely with product, design, engineering, sales and Egypts GM to solve our problems and put forward solutions that the product team can run with

 

This role is key for the success of Property Finder and we are looking for someone who is excited to drive growth by identifying new product opportunities through the research process in Egypt.  

 

What you will do 

  • Lead the product research process for the organisation in Egypt and drive the product team to adopt suggestions
  • Conduct research that is capable of informing the definition and development of Property Finder’s products
  • Convert research findings into actionable results, activating design thinking and concept development through workshop facilitation
  • Work closely within Design, Engineering, Product, Commercial and Marketing teams to define and improve Property Finder’s digital experience and truly understand the consumer and customer needs. 
  • Synthesise research findings from other primary and passive data sources (including market research, site analytics, Voice of Customer feedback, A/B test output, secondary research, sales data and customer support insights) into meaningful and actionable recommendations
  • Actively lift the skills of the design team, providing constructive support and feedback 
  • Conduct all research activity with a practised awareness of data privacy principles

 

What you’ll need 

 

    • Knowledge of a variety of quantitative and qualitative user research methods including remote studies, lab and field studies, usability testing, competitive benchmarking, diary studies, heuristic evaluations and survey research
    • A deep understanding of the nuances of different methods including when and how to apply them during each product phase and how best to combine them to meet research objectives
    • A familiarity with a range of research tools - remote testing platforms, prototyping solutions and lab equipment - and you’re always eager to explore more 
    • A keen ability to turn research insights into tangible recommendations and design solutions within a lean startup and agile environment
    • Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of human centred design principles, design standards and fundamental user behaviours
    • Prior experience conducting cross-platform/ device research
    • Robust organisational skills that enable you to act independently
    • Total comfort in switching rapidly between different projects, as demanded within a fast-paced and exciting development environment 
    • An ability to lead, inspire and motivate cross functional teams to deliver high-quality research output
    • Confidence to proactively communicate and negotiate
    • A sincere passion and desire to develop well-crafted, usable and relevant experiences
    • An ability to connect and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders
    • Familiarity with marketplaces and classifieds in the region
    • 5+ years’ experience as a Researcher
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is a must
