MACHINIST III
We are the Premier service provider for Emerson/Fisher control valves. As an authorized assembler of Emerson's Anderson Greenwood, Crosby, and Kunkle valves, Atlantic Valve Services plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of critical processes for our valued customers throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.
In addition to safety relief valves, our experienced technicians can repair all types of control valves including sliding stem and rotary as well as isolation valves including gate, globe, ball, butterfly, and check valves. AVS also has the ability to clean all types of valves and instrumentation to our client’s demanding standards.
Our ability to diagnose operational issues with all types of valves allows us to make upgrade and modification recommendations that will improve performance, including but not limited to metallurgy upgrades, bellows installation, stem extensions, and gearbox sizing.
Summary:
Atlantic Valve Services is seeking an experienced Machinist with expertise in operating and maintaining Bullard vertical turret-head boring mills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and a thorough understanding of the intricacies of Bullard equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality valve solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain Bullard vertical turret-head boring mills to perform precision machining operations on valve components.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Bullard equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Monitor machining processes to maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating and maintaining Bullard vertical turret-head boring mills.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new machining technologies and techniques.
