As the Senior Director of CPG Insights, South APAC, this pivotal role acts as the dedicated resource focused on the needs of our clients, while serving as a key partner in driving the upskilling of our team to better understand their needs and deliver with excellence. The successful candidate will partner with the VP of CPG Insights, South APAC, to be the gateway to client engagement. In this role, you will ensure that Mintel is delivering on the expectations of our clients, while ensuring analyst resources are utilized to drive the most meaningful client-analyst engagements. You will use your extensive industry knowledge and critical thinking skills to develop and enhance the quality of our client deliverables. Further, being a client-led expert, you will help upskill the wider team on client-side knowledge that will drive strategic partnerships with our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Work in partnership with Commercial teams in South APAC to: [50% of the time]

  • Prioritize and identify the appropriate solutions for CPG client service requests, particularly for accounts that have been deemed high growth potential for Mintel
  • In some cases this role delivers on the work with clients as an individual and in some cases this role works with Analyst team members to help them develop their own material related to engagements
  • Drive successful client partnerships, renewals and new business growth opportunities
  • Scope and facilitate client executive sponsorship in South APAC
  • Work with Sales Enablement to upskill the wider commercial and/or insights team on client-side knowledge sharing and how to become closer to our clients

2. Work in partnership with the South APAC Insights team as a core advisor who provides strategic and tactical direction on: [25% of the time time]

  • Client servicing scoping and delivery
  • Coaching the South APAC Insights team on all elements of client service engagement - from brief to delivery
  • Coordination of Analyst led Roadshows

3. Collaborate with regional and global insights partners on departmental initiatives, including but not limited to the FOI Client Project. This includes engaging in Client VOC to make strategic recommendations designed to ensure our content and product resonate with the local markets [15% of the time]

4. Work with sales, marketing, and management to drive revenue and renewals [10% of the time]

  • This includes press and conference support, involvement in consultancy opportunities and projects where applicable, and new and existing client support. You will be a thought leader in the region and help promote Mintel’s expertise through the media, and on occasion as a keynote speaker at conferences.
