The role is responsible for leading the thought leadership, development of content, and analyst teams for our Food and Drink and BPC insights platforms in South APAC (including Thailand, India, Singapore, Australia, also includes Korea).

In this role, you will use your extensive CPG industry knowledge and critical thinking skills to develop and  enhance the quality of all work produced by the team.

As the VP of CPG Insights, South APAC you will oversee experts from our Mintel Food and Drink and BPCH platforms, as well as India and Thai Reports teams. You will be tasked to look for innovative ways to develop both the team and the insights they produce. You will lead the quality initiatives in the region and be a key decision maker for the global content strategy. The role’s primary responsibilities are to ensure we consistently deliver top quality, relevant, and actionable insights through published content and expert  service that helps our CPG and BPC clients grow their businesses.

A willingness to travel is a must for this role, both within APAC, and globally. 

Main Responsibilities:

1. Manage the efficient and on-time creation and delivery of insights content pertaining to CPG [food and drink and BPC] within South APAC

  • Ensure schedules are created and monitored and deadlines are met
  • Establish best practices and processes in creation and delivery of insights
  • Design and manage an efficient and effective team structure
  • Align with Commercial and Client Success on analyst engagement processes and guidelines, and manage resources to deliver according to guidelines

2. Ensure all content meets our clients’ needs, is accurate, and provides insights on relevant issues

  • Working with your Insights peers in other markets, establish and review content plan and adjust coverage as needed to meet the needs of current and prospective clients
  • Identify and implement ways to improve deliverables (including data, methodology, expertise, training, process, technology, etc)
  • Ensure the analysts deliver valuable service to clients

3. Manage and coach our Teams in South APAC

This role directly manages a team of analysts across South APAC. Your role will be to recruit, retain and develop your team to deliver content and client service. You will also help them grow professionally by providing constructive feedback and helping ensure that our insights provide a deep understanding of the local market, consumers and clients. Further, this role requires you to:

  • Work with the Recruitment and HR teams to recruit the right talent
  • Monitor your team’s job satisfaction and identify opportunities to maintain/improve it
  • Help to identify Learning & Development plans to support your team’s current and potential future responsibilities

4. Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to meet department and company growth targets

  • Participate in global Insights team initiatives to deliver annual goals
  • Collaborate with APAC stakeholders in other departments on regional initiatives, including regional growth/revenue and people culture
  • Be a positive and engaged leader within the APAC region
