What you’ll Do:

  • Create an exceptional digital data experience for our customers and internal stakeholders, assuming ownership for everything we need to design and deliver
  • Help create and establish a data first culture to support company growth
  • Responsible for ownership of all technical and operational aspects of our analytical data platforms
  • Responsible for partnering with existing data teams, application engineering teams, and product groups
  • Partner with stakeholders and customers, both internal and external, to drive the analytics initiatives
  • Responsible for building, sizing, deploying, and operationally managing and monitoring our data platforms across environments
  • Build and lead a team of talented data engineers and data analysts to keep our data platform reliable, scalable and able to meet the growing needs of the organization and product teams
  • Understand end-to-end data interactions, dependencies, and transformations across complex data pipelines and how they impact business decisions through world class analytics
  • Responsible for architecture, performance, scalability, high availability, automated deployments, monitoring, and security to deliver the best data warehouse experience to our customers
  • Engage with other engineering teams at the time of planning data systems to design well-architected data platforms
  • Responsible for delivering high availability via multi-zonal and multi-regional strategy for cloud ensuring Datastore services are always available
  • Responsible for budget, planning, and meeting the OKR's as per the product and company goals
  • Require strong leadership influence, executive-level presence, ability to lead change, and business/finance acumen
  • Responsible for budget forecasting and building a strong observability platform to detect cost anomalies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Exceptional ability to delivery next level analytics to move the organization forward
  • Have strong experience in Cloud based Big Data, BI/Reporting, DW, NoSQL technologies and Database-as-a-Service
  • Proven track record in implementing statistical methods to provide insight into business performance
  • Ability to foster a data first approach and culture, mentoring and facilitating the rest of the organization to adopt this culture
  • Demonstrable ability to lead large-scale data initiatives with strong governance, organized methodology and execution
  • Deep expertise in data modeling
  • Expert knowledge of data management and data governance tools
  • Experience with very large data sets (Big Data), Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures
  • Experience with a variety of data visualization and reporting tools (Looker / Tableau)
  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining a fully managed cloud-based data warehousing/analytical
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Experience in transforming legacy technology to a new technology framework with minimal impact and excellent risk mitigation
  • Exhibit good judgment in hiring and developing great talent
  • Strong communication and technical writing skills
  • Familiarity with Agile SDLC
  • Exposure to different DB HA technologies is a plus 
  • Exposure to NoSQL, search, and messaging solutions is a plus
  • Knowledge of dbt would be an advantage
  • Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure is an added advantage
