Join the Presso hardware team to design and bring to life the next generation of Presso robots.

The engineer should be able to readily apply mechanical engineering fundamentals to creatively solve problems in robotics, automation, manufacturing, and assembly; to learn quickly while managing their projects independently.



· Conceiving, architecting, designing, and engineering individual sub-systems while optimizing their combined functionality that make up the Presso machine.

· Design, model, and test prototypes; up to and including full-scale commercial products

· Identify and select materials of custom components along with relevant manufacturing processes

· Incorporate design for manufacturing & design for reliability concepts

· Maintain proper product data during development within CAD and PDM systems

· Independently apply product development processes in an effective and comprehensive manner

· Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain to optimize design and development


Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

· 5+ years' of industry experience

· Experience in high volume consumer/industrial product development

· Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies

· Proficient in Solidworks; Onshape preferred

· Strong background and experience with DFM and DFA

· Sheet metal design experience in a myriad of fields/products preferred

· Experience designing fluid systems preferred

· Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling systems and PDM workflow

· Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T
