We are searching for a Pricing & Promotions Analyst to provide analysis and support in the development of FMIC brands’ Price and Promotional strategies, for the Direct-to-Consumer sites and the wider UK and European organisation.    Site coverage support includes Fender.com, Jacksonguitars.com and PreSonus.com.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Maintain the market intelligence tool and data feeds for Fender, Jackson & PreSonus catalogue across multiple markets and currencies.
  • Perform pricing data ingestion to analyse files and make recommendations based on market & sales trends.
  • Maintain price list feeds into the ERP & tech stack covering; MSRP GBP, EUR, SEK, DKK, NOK and consumer GBP & multiple EUR price lists.
  • Build & maintain DTC promotions in the eCommerce platform in multiple markets & currencies.
  • Produce and distribute regular reports on the EMEA market from a price & promotional perspective.
  • Analyse the competitive landscape to understand emerging trends & suggest data lead strategic price changes at a country & product level.
  • Review promotional performance to inform future planning.
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce Merchandisers to strategically plan product & category placements on FMIC websites at a country level.
  • Provide DTC strategy as well as market insights to inform Demand Planning.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce Manager EMEA and wider eCommerce, Marketing, Product and FP&A teams to execute plans to meet revenue objectives.

Person Specification

  • The ideal candidate has experience as a pricing or promotions analyst in an eCommerce business or similar role such as a buyer or finance analyst in a commercial setting where price strategy is a key driver of business success.
  • Experienced and comfortable processing large data sets working across various IT & technology platforms.
  • Ability to conduct reviews of large bodies of data in a self-sufficient manner.
  • Naturally conscious of & pays close attention to detail.
  • Continually seeks to improve the customer offering by staying across key competitor activities, industry trends & emerging market needs.
  • Excellent communicator who can facilitate success across departments & overcome challenges through collaboration.

 Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience in a price or promotions analyst lead role.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data.
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet editing as well as how to analyse & interpret large sets of data.
  • Experience using data visualisation & reporting tools for performance measurement such as Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense etc.
  • Experience handling data feeds.
  • Proven years of experience working with IT and ERP systems.
  • Conscientious & committed to producing accurate & efficient results.
  • Ability to work on own initiative & be self-motivated to execute effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality & handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritise work & adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work flexibly to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve & contingency plan.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook & willing to use a variety of new software tools.
  • Ability to work with a globally distributed team across multiple regions.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience with an eCommerce platform such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce or similar.
  • Experience with market intelligence software tools.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Performed A/B testing to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of the musical instrument market. Aware of musical instrument & European market trends.
