Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics and Competitive Intelligence

The Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics and Competitive Intelligence, will play an important role in delivering commercial analytics initiatives at Precision Value & Health (PVH). This role will help to foster data-driven decision-making through the application of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics. This individual will leverage and transform complex data into actionable insights that empower stakeholders to meet and exceed business objectives. This is a cross-functional role that partners with Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance and Precision Medicine Group Sales & Marketing Technology Teams to provide actionable ad hoc insights and competitive intelligence.


Duties & Responsibilities

Advanced Analytics

  • Utilize analytic tools and techniques to generate actionable insights that stakeholders can use to exceed business objectives.
  • Synthesize data from internal and external data sources to derive answers to critical business questions; Proactively identify issues, define root causes and provide recommendations before issues have been raised.
  • Address business questions for key commercial stakeholders with goal of understanding, recommending, and implementing analytical solutions while furthering understanding of any data limitations.
  • Develop frameworks and models that support business decision-making and enable quicker action based on leading indicators.
  • Develop reports and ad hoc analytics for leadership that support successful delivery of key business objectives across PVH Products and Services.
  • Utilize internal communication to influence action and improve performance while increasing data fluency across the organization.
  • Partner with PVH Growth Leadership in shaping future data and analytics strategy by identifying gaps in current capabilities while staying up to date on emerging technology trends and analytic methodologies.
  • Utilize KPI measures that characterize effectiveness of sales strategies and tactics and support actionable recommendations to improve performance.
  • Partner with PMG Sales & Marketing Technology team to advance data management and PRISM reporting  capabilities including development of PVH Experience database and Automated Lead Generation (ALG) trigger logic.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Develop deep understanding of the competitive landscape for PVH Products and Services.
  • Provide insights to Marketing and Service Lines that allow for development of more effective positioning strategy and product roadmaps.
  • Gather, analyze, and provide actionable data and insights on key business competitors.
  • Partner with Business Development and Service Line Account Teams to capture internal competitive intelligence.
  • Develop capture mechanisms to pull through external data insights on key competitors from social media, competitor websites and press releases.
  • Conduct focused primary market research outreach to answer critical competitive landscape questions (e.g. win/loss interviews).
  • Create competitive intelligence repository and data triggers / alerts for key competitors for PVH Services and Products.

 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math or related field required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Experience

  • 4+  years of experience in analytics and data management required
  • Experience in life sciences analytics preferred
  • Experience in design and development of analytic models
  • Manufacturer or vendor experience in life sciences industry

Technical

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to move beyond basic descriptive analytics.
  • Solid foundation in Math and Statistics with ability to do route cause analysis via Chi-Square, Anova, and other statistical methods.
  • Strong excel skills leveraging features, Pivot Tables, Macros, and other advanced functions.
  • Experience with Power BI Report design and development with focus on creating graphs and charts that convey the essence from the foundational data.
  • Facility with coding language preferred (i.e. SQL, R, and/or Python).
  • Experience in MDM and and CDW data model design preferred.
  • Ability to work with first, second and third-party data sources (e.g. Citeline BMT, Hubspot, ZoomInfo, Salesforce and ERP Financial sources).
  • Domain knowledge in the Life Sciences space including knowledge of Therapeutic Areas, Products, and key constituents in the healthcare ecosystem preferred.

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.
