This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Team members may live in the following locations: Mexico.

 

Your Mission: Lead development teams to ensure sprint commitments are met

  • Cultivate Camaraderie: Ensure that Core Values are living and breathing throughout a portfolio of projects. 
  • Engineer Value: Architect complex systems, lead software estimation, establish DevOps processes, and configure cloud-based deployment environments. 
  • Ensure Quality: Conduct technical reviews, identify and address performance issues; increase capacity, engagement. 
  • Eliminate Ambiguity: Conduct technical planning, rigorous subtasking, advance research, estimate software release timelines, and present technical approach for features, project extensions, and add-ons. 
  • Give Feedback: Communicate expectations throughout the project team and manage escalations promptly and thoroughly. 
  • Improve Delivery: Propose new processes and habits to streamline the delivery of our engagements. 
  • Evaluate Skills: Conduct recruiting interviews and analyze candidates to ensure successful hiring/contracting. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Key Activities: Plan, delegate, add technical subtasks to user stories based on API research, tech spikes, and first feature development
  • How a Current Praxenter Describes The Role: “I spend a lot of the sprint planning and delegating technical work for other devs, anticipating how to deliver as much value for the client via efficiency and tech debt prevention. This has the added benefit of allow assigned devs to grow technically while also reducing as many unknowns as possible in the cone of uncertainty. It’s my job to keep in sync with delivery leads on priorities, team allocation, risks, etc, as well as act as the technical interface for the client to help guide them without overloading them with technical jargon.”

 

Your Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: demonstrable proficiency with all of the following: building attractive user interfaces, building data driven REST APIs, administering databases/cloud/servers.
  • Practical Experience: 8-12 years professional experience in relevant technology and projects, including value engineering, system architecture, and software estimation, as well as technical leadership with DevOps and Cloud-Based deployment
    • Expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including React, Vue.js, and Angular, with a strong ability to build responsive and dynamic user interfaces, leveraging TypeScript for enhanced code quality and maintainability.
    • Extensive experience in building scalable server-side applications using Node.js, with a strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Client Leadership: Experience presenting to client stakeholders and communicating technical and business value
  • Outcome Orientation: Experience understanding and articulating the business outcomes that your development projects impact
  • Mentorship Experience: Experience with coaching and mentoring, demonstrated through ad-hoc collaboration and structured code reviews.
  • Relevant Education: may include intensive programs, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a equivalent experience

The salary range for this full-time position is $3,791 to $4,830 USD per month. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all LATAM locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
