About the Position: 


Job Title: Head of Growth Marketing 

Location: Candidate must be located in Canada or the USA. Our office is located in Toronto, ON, Canada, but the role is remote/hybrid/flexible.

Reports to: Chief Growth Officer 


Position Overview:

As the Head of Growth Marketing at Practice Better, you will own the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth for a self-serve, PLG SaaS product. This role involves a blend of creative marketing strategies and analytical approaches to boost customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention while driving growth experiments across all parts of the funnel. You will lead a team of growth marketing professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve company growth objectives.


We’re counting on you to:

  • Develop and execute on-page SEO / technical SEO / off-page SEO + keyword research and collaborate with our content team for to optimize inbound traffic.
  • Develop and execute lifecycle marketing experimentation and automation to improve the conversion of new signups to fully activated accounts. In addition, drive experimentation on free to paid and upgrade to expand accounts. 
  • Implement and optimize multi-touch attribution models to accurately measure and analyze the impact of marketing efforts across various touchpoints and channels, enabling data-driven decision-making and maximizing ROI.
  • Oversee all paid acquisition efforts and manage demand gen budgets. Develop and execute a defined paid channel strategy by understanding paid channels with efficient and effective ROAS and CAC/LTV. 
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of event marketing initiatives with our Events Marketing Manager, including virtual and in-person events, to generate leads and increase brand visibility of our offline initiatives.
  • Forecast, measure, and report on acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue metrics..
  • Collaborate with product, partnerships, content, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and optimize the customer journey.
  • Lead and mentor a small team of growth marketing professionals, fostering a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Own and improve the performance of all growth marketing channels.



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in growth-focused roles, with a focus on demand generation and growth marketing, preferably with a self-serve, PLG SaaS product.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Expertise in advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.
  • Expertise with technical SEO
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated success in data-driven planning and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change.
  • Experience in the Health & Wellness industry is a bonus.

1 month you will:

    • Familiarize yourself with the company, its products, and existing marketing strategies.
    • Conduct a thorough review of current marketing campaigns and performance metrics.
    • Begin building relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
    • Outline initial growth initiatives and prioritize areas for optimization.

3 months you will:

    • Implement optimizations to existing marketing channels based on initial assessments.
    • Launch new growth experiments to test hypotheses and drive incremental improvements.
    • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership based on early results.
    • Continue to build and develop the growth marketing team, identifying areas for skill development.

6 months you will:

    • Evaluate the effectiveness of growth strategies and initiatives implemented.
    • Scale successful campaigns and tactics to drive sustainable growth.
    • Refine and iterate on processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Contribute to long-term strategic planning and goal setting for the marketing department.
