The Opportunity:

Postman is seeking a Technical Content Developer to bring API ecosystem knowledge, passion and skill to develop scalable, educational content for customers across a broad array of industries and sizes. Our ideal candidate is someone who has extensive experience using Postman, has consumed, designed and tested APIs and has a proven track record of developing written content for complex topics. You will be responsible for identifying new topics, learning objectives and writing both text modules and the scripts for video modules. You will also have a significant role in designing hands-on challenges in a custom product environment. 

What You'll Do:

  • Design educational content that helps customers and internal teams understand how to use Postman effectively
  • Identify customer product knowledge gaps and create internal assets, such as, outlines, scripts and demo flows to help produce effective content
  • Build in-product skill assessments that challenge a user and enhance their understanding of the subject matter
  • Work closely with other teams, including product, customer success, sales, and customer support, to ensure that training programs align with product updates and customer needs
  • Keep up-to-date with product updates and new features to ensure training programs reflect the most current information.

About You:

  • 5 years minimum experience in API development, content development, technical writing or other relevant roles
  • Experience working in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, GitHub and RDBMS(PostgreSQL)
  • Postman experience is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enjoy coordinating with both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to facilitate a resolution to complex technical issues
  • Passion for operationalizing, reporting on and continuously improving customer experiences at scale
  • Consistent track record of successfully handling stakeholder relationships
  • Highly organized, with proven ability to work autonomously and run multiple projects at one time

What Else?

This role is based remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, potential spot awards, and a monthly lunch stipend.
