Summary

The IT Procurement & Application Lifecycle Administrator role handles managing and/or supporting all IT vendors, licensing, and maintenance agreements. This position will work to build a portfolio of current IT Vendors. The role will also be responsible for creating processes for ongoing review of IT vendors, licensing, and maintenance agreements. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, strong written/verbal communication skills, customer service oriented, and have the ability to interpret, review and high-level negotiate technology-related contracts in relation to software, hardware, telecommunications, and other IT equipment and services.

  • Build and maintain vendor/contractor relationships with the objectives of eliminating inefficiencies in the supply chain, reducing total costs, and increasing productivity.

  • Technology Vendor/Supplier evaluations

  • Application onboarding and lifecycle

  • Analysis of proposals and comparing with company needs

  • Negotiation and structuring of contracts

  • Originating and maintaining relationships with vendors

  • Collaborating with staff members to ensure vendors are meeting needs

  • Monitoring and evaluation of renewal and unrolling contracts

  • Maintaining and reviewing records of purchases

  • Work with IT team leads to develop IT budget, track spending performance relative to expectations, identify anomalies, and communicate changes timely

  • Onboard vendors, including business case development, comparative vendor analysis, proposed cost and service verifications, approvals, and contracting

  • Oversee and administer the procurement process, including optimization of costs

  • Lead ongoing technology evaluation and app life cycle refresh process.

  • Partner with the security team to manage vendor security workflows.

  • Bonus: Office Video Conferencing architecture and setup 

What you bring to the role

  • 3-5 years of professional work experience with direct hands-on experience managing and executing sourcing and contracting activities for hardware, software, and professional services spend either as a sourcing specialist or an account executive required.

  • An equivalent combination of education and progressive, relevant, and direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational/experience requirements indicated above.

  • Familiarity with typical SLA and KPI for IT categories.

  • IT Sourcing Specialist must have strong organizational, customer service, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, seek guidance when required in a matrix, customer-oriented environment. On-the-job experience negotiating supplier contracts and supplier performance management. Positive communications skills, high energy level, continuous improvement mindset, and a sense of urgency are all integral to the role.

  • Ability to leverage data and analytics to generate business cases in support of lease vs. buy decisions.

  • Excellent team interpersonal skills and ability to handle multiple sourcing assignments while providing superior service.

What Else?

If the role is based in the greater San Francisco area, and the reasonably estimated salary for this role ranges from $105,000 to $130,000 plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries will vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
