Summary
The Technical Document Specialist will work closely with the Engineering Manager to create, maintain, and organize comprehensive technical documentation. This role is essential for ensuring that technical requirements, system designs, and architecture decisions are documented accurately, supporting efficient project execution and knowledge sharing across teams.
Essential Job Functions
- Develop, maintain, and update documentation for system architectures, technical requirements, and user guides.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to capture technical details and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Create and maintain visual representations of system designs and workflows using Lucidchart.
- Organize and maintain a repository of technical documents for ongoing and completed projects.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to clarify technical requirements.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and remains accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Technical Writing: Ability to produce clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Lucidchart Proficiency: Experience creating diagrams and system visuals in Lucidchart.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in capturing technical requirements and design specifications.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple documentation projects and maintain organized, easily accessible records.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation, ideally in technology or engineering environments.
- Proficiency in Lucidchart for creating system diagrams and process flows.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, database systems, and software development processes.
Physical Demands
