Job Summary 

The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we'd love for you to be a part of it as our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager, Corporate. 

This is a mission-critical role for the business. The FP&A Manager is a key and highly visible position that will partner with business leaders across Porch, accounting, analytics, and HR to provide insights and guidance on the company's financial performance. In addition, the role supports the IR strategy, providing information to the market to inform investment decisions. The role provides insights and analysis on consensus and peer benchmarking, plus earnings and IR strategy support.

This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent project management, Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, communicating with multiple business partners, deep-dive analytics, and an effective communicator.

We are looking for someone who loves partnering with others, as well as modeling and providing analysis to drive decision making. 

What You Will Do As An FP&A Manager, Corporate: 

You will serve as the finance leader and business partner for the Corporate and Shared Services division. You will be key to helping the function mature and growth, using your judgement in leading the creation and implementation of financial, analytical and reporting across finance and investor relations processes, as we are in the development and build phase. Specific duties include:

  • Manage the budget (annual) and forecast cycles (quarterly) for your Corporate and Shared Services division  
  • Support the reporting of annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles on a consolidated view to management
  • Review month-end results with your corporate leaders. Understand the numbers and trends, providing value-add commentary and recommendations to leadership
  • Identify cost saving opportunities
  • Support in the preparation of the monthly reporting package and board reporting, taking an innovative approach to developing and improving the reporting
  • Report and be able to speak to financial results and related implications to management and key stakeholders. Identify key risk and opportunities and prepare question and answer documents
  • Build, constantly improve, and manage the Corporate model, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Maintain and improve the analyst consensus model, including financial estimates and valuation, and share updates with management on the updates
  • Provide support in shaping and executing the Investor Relations strategy, including investor and analyst outreach
  • Lead in the preparation of investor fact sheets and Q&A talking points
  • Lead in the verification of data points disclosed in earnings materials and proof reading, checking for consistency of the key messaging
  • Support in the preparation of the annual meeting for stockholders, including drafting materials and Q&A talking points
  • Create, implement and maintain an investor relations dashboard of investor marketing activities for management
  • Perform ad hoc analysis in a variety of areas, including Finance and Investor Relations

What You Will Bring As An FP&A Manager, Corporate: 

  • 7+ years minimum business experience with 7-10 years or more in Finance 
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, MBA and CPA a plus 
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Excel / PowerPoint and financial modeling skills
  • Tableau and ERP knowledge, specifically NetSuite and Oracle, is a plus
  • Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills in a fast paced and evolving, growing business. This is not a junior level role and thus leadership will be needed at this level
  • Strong budgeting and forecasting experience. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as IRR, unit economics etc
  • Quick learner who is passionate about constant improvement
  • Openly welcomes feedback regarding any aspect of work performance
  • Proven experience working with US based business teams
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with business partners at various levels in a clear, concise and respectful manner
  • Strong work ethic, willing to work hard with extra effort when needed to get the job done
  • Intellectually curious self-starter who is not afraid to seek out projects independently.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to dig into the numbers to gain key insights
  • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap
