The Opportunity

The Chief of Staff is a vital role within our organization, reporting directly to the CEO, this position assumes leadership in coordinating and organizing the operations of the executive leadership team (ELT) and driving actions that enhance business value and increase productivity. The Chief of Staff also leads the strategic Project Management Office (PMO) function, acts as a liaison for the board, ensures seamless coordination of strategic messaging among the ELT, CEO, and plays a key role in defining the annual strategic planning process. In addition, the Chief of Staff conducts deep dives into complex information, anticipates potential problems, and offers strategic advice to support the CEO in their decision-making processes. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • ELT Operations: Organize weekly ELT agenda, weekly business operations meeting and quarterly offsite by coordinating with functional leads to deliver strategic updates and drive actions following discussions. 
  • Define & coordinate quarterly and annual strategic planning, Operation Plan, and OKR process
  • Complete strategic deep dives resulting in business transformation recommendations as needed
  • Lead and collaborate on M&A initiatives; coordination, diligence & integration  
  • Lead the strategic PMO team focused on business transformation
  • Act as the primary board liaison to schedule board meetings and coordinate board update materials  
  • Partner with Internal Communications to coordinate strategic messaging & communications at forums such as Town Hall
  • Trusted confidante and strategic advisor to CEO, executive team
  • Culture carrier: build transformative culture of operational excellence, curiosity, collaboration 

Candidate Expertise Required:

  • Understands the business across all functions with strong business acumen
  • Successful track record within a fast paced, engaging, technology environment  
  • Experience working flexibly across a range of responsibilities, projects and programmes
  • Ability to understand complex inputs and to distil critical information.
  • Experience of PMO & cross-functional strategic programs
  • Influential leader & excellent strategic communicator with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Deep experience in business and operations analysis – metrics driven, highly quantitative and analytical
  • Anticipates and averts problems, and has organizational and political intelligence
  • Able to travel to quarterly ELT & board meetings in US, EU
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into insights 

Education & Experience 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, MBA, and experience of management consulting a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic leadership role.
