As the SEO Manager at Poppulo, you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing our SEO strategy. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director and being part of the wider Demand Generation team, you will be instrumental in creating and optimizing powerful SEO and CRO strategies that drive results.

As an expert in your field, you will lead the enhancement of our SEO through continuous development and optimisation of our website and owned channels. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead a talented team and make a significant impact on our company's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and manage a comprehensive SEO strategy and roadmap aligned to the broader Poppulo Marketing Strategy
  • Optimize website content, landing pages and copy to meet user intent and marketing objectives
  • Review technical SEO issues and recommend fixes to enhance website performance
  • Conduct keyword research, sharing this insight with the content team to help guide content strategy
  • Scale SEO traffic through innovative growth initiatives
  • Work with the engineering team to secure bandwidth and roll out new properties on the website
  • Design and execute a CRO strategy to optimize website performance – continue to refine the approach based on results and feedback
  • Work alongside the website development manager to prioritize CRO tests, using techniques such as AB testing, user surveys, and heat map analysis
  • Identify key, measurable metrics for SEO strategy focused on the ability to test and scale rapidly - Analyse results, A/B test, create reports, share insights, share and continually optimize to improve KPIs
  • Develop detailed reporting, providing insights and recommendations to enhance performance
  • Work alongside other digital channel owners to ensure alignment across campaigns
  • Test landing page usability, design, and content changes to drive conversions
  • Staying up to date with best-practice SEO marketing trends and sharing that knowledge with the marketing team. 

Skills & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or a similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven record of successful SEO strategy development and execution 
  • Strong understanding of SEO and CRO best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and digital marketing trends, with a strong understanding of the US search landscape
  • Strong project management and organizational skills - capable of creating and managing tasks, setting and meeting deadlines. 
  • Creative, enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative.
  • Experience scaling organic traffic for brands in the US
  • Proficiency with SEO and analytics tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, Search Console, and Screaming Frog
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting tools including Google Data Studio and Funnel.io. 
  • Strong analytical skills – comfortable reviewing data and using it to make recommendations.
  • Detailed knowledge of link-building strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience of working in a SaaS or Software company is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with Sanity CMS is preferable but not essential 
  • Experience of working with Salesforce is beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of website design, development, HTML/CSS coding,
  • Experience in Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising (particularly Google AdWords)
  • Experience working with cross functional teams (Product, Growth, Comms/social media)
