Your North Star: Deliver legal support by drafting and reviewing key commercial and vendor agreements, to support business growth in collaboration with the Head of Legal and business leaders across the organization.
We are looking for a highly motivated attorney to join our team, supporting our partnerships efforts by drafting and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts, with a strong focus on revenue-generating agreements. This role will also provide support in procurement by reviewing vendor services agreements. The ideal candidate is bright, capable and eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make an immediate impact on our organization.
Who You Are
- You have a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an ABA accredited law school and are licensed to practice in at least one state.
- You have a minimum of 3 years of legal experience and experience drafting, reviewing and advising on a wide range of different commercial agreements including but not limited to, confidentiality agreements, business associate agreements, health plan contracts, and vendor services agreements.
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively managing cross-functional projects and business priorities. The ability to establish a rapport and working relationship with business leaders is paramount.
- You have meticulous attention to detail and strong project management and organizational skills.
- You are passionate about maternal and child health.
Bonus Points If
- You have experience as an in-house attorney with an early stage healthcare company, and specifically a telehealth company who works with Commercial and Medicaid patients.
- You have experience negotiating commercial agreements with clients or partners, including health plans.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company’s size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Pomelo Care. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity. Given that this role is open to candidates of different skill levels, determining a salary range is challenging. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $150,000 - $170,000. We expect most candidates to fall in the middle of the range. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration, so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
