Pollen is seeking an experienced Social Marketing Lead to build the social content and community strategy, accelerate overall channel, drive community engagement, and own the day-to-day publishing of content for our collegiate travel brands.

You will love this role if you are closely attuned to the collegiate demo, are passionate about growing online communities, and have deep experience connecting brands with consumers in authentic and relevant ways.

In the first 12 months you will:

STRATEGY

  • Create a strategy for how to build community through social for our collegiate brands.
  • Create and implement channel-specific strategies using IG as the core channel for each brand.
  • Recommend and lead expansion of social strategy to other demo, and partner-relevant platforms where needed (ex: TikTok etc).
  • Track, analyze and produce a weekly report on social analytics that will enable data-led programming and content decisions.
  • Monitor cultural moments, social conversation, trends, events relevant to target audience, and campaign launches to identify and act on moments that organically engage audiences and drive WoM.
  • Drive positive audience engagement, including responding to comments and UGC, and finding ways to scale community building.
  • Partner with Marketing Manager and Creative Studio on on-site content capture plans.

CONTENT CREATION & EDITORIAL

  • Travel to experiences and do organic content capture and live sharing from the event or create strategies for outsourcing for 25+ trips a year. 
  • Own daily sourcing and publishing of content (video, photos, graphics, captions).
  • Ideate and test content that intelligently use native features like IG TV, Reels, Live, trending stickers etc to optimize content performance.
  • Create editorial calendars for each brand that support sales enablement and community engagement.
  • Identify tastemakers, influencers, and key customers who can be turned into advocates, content creators, and other partners.
