We are looking for an Engineering Manager for our Platform team. We are moving from Heroku to AWS, and building tools to enable our engineers to have the best development experience. We would like to speak to you if you have experience in evangelising SRE practices with engineers, have worked with cloud platforms and automating repetitive manual tasks.

In the next 12 months you will:

  • Encourage a DevOps culture based on our motivational driver of Ownership by enabling self-serve deployments, promoting observability, and automating as much manual production work as possible
  • Enable Freedom within our teams by creating a world-class developer experience that frees engineers up to focus on delivering customer value
  • Improve the ergonomics of deployment and testing through cloud abstraction and automated deployments, empowering product teams to release features safely and quickly
  • Plan and get ready for scaling the business with our partners such as J Balvin, Big Narstie & The Streets by leveraging AWS and other platforms to ensure performance at scale
  • Support and enable our engineering teams to own their work in production, providing tooling and advising on observability, logging & alerting 
  • Foster and hire a high-performing platform team that is customer (i.e. engineer) focused and sees their roles as critical in the overall mission of Pollen to give customers access to bigger and more exciting experiences
  • Represent the Platform group as an engineering leader when collaborating with other teams within the wider Pollen organisation
