About the Finance team:
We are looking for a high calibre Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role is a crucial part of the wider finance team – working to analyse, understand and improve our financial performance.
You will be working within the finance team of an exciting and high-growth business that is looking to support the next phase of growth following new private equity investment.
You will spend your time collecting, analysing, modelling, interpreting, forecasting and reporting on information for business performance, planning, and management purposes. You will work closely with teams from across the business to help them understand their financial performance and help develop forecasts for future performance. You will support on producing decision-making information, helping business leaders understand the financial implications of strategies and decisions.
Your day to day:
- Understanding and analysing our performance against budget and forecasts
- Support the Analysis Manager with finance MI, including re-designing existing MI, automating processes and driving efficiencies
- Producing the source of truth for business performance and key performance indicators
- Defining and developing performance metrics reporting, working with business partners to refine business requirements to outputs that are accurate and insightful
- Developing a repository of historic data to enable accurate trend and forecasting capability, and robust investor event due diligence
- Development and improvement of analytics and processes, automating processes and controls
- Building and improving the predictive capability of the FP&A team
- Providing ad-hoc analysis for senior leaders, Board members and other internal and external stakeholders
Who are you:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA accounting qualification - or part finished
- Very strong financial analysis and accounting skills
- Experience either within an FP&A or analyst role
- A desire to innovate and introduce new ideas that will benefit the business
- Knowledge and experience in working with large data sets
- Fluent and comfortable working with and interrogating ERP/ERM systems (e.g. SAP, Sage, Anaplan, Hyperion, TM1)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
In addition, it would be great if you had:
- Knowledge or experience of insurance
- Experience of larger organisations that are likely to have mature analysis and FP&A functions
